Love's Easy Tears

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following their highly successful acoustic-leaning album, this dense four-track collection marks a return to heavily layered, aggressive synthesizer and guitar textures. Elizabeth Fraser’s vocal acrobatics are famously indecipherable here, utilized entirely as a sweeping, melodic instrument. The wall-of-sound production heavily foreshadowed the emerging shoegaze movement that would dominate the UK indie scene shortly after.
