Album Notes & Community Reviews

This critically acclaimed release prominently features 'Pearly-Dewdrops' Drops', which unexpectedly became the band's highest-charting hit in the UK. The addition of Simon Raymonde to the lineup significantly enriched their arrangements, providing a melodic bass foundation for Robin Guthrie's shimmering guitars. Elizabeth Fraser's vocal performances reach dizzying operatic heights, cementing the quintessential ethereal sound of the 4AD label.
