wannabewithu

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Written and recorded entirely in the artist's teenage bedroom, 'wannabewithu' served as a seminal, early release in the rapidly expanding Chicano indie pop wave. Its bilingual lyricism, heavily reverbed vintage synthesizers, and woozy romanticism struck a major chord with a young, internet-native audience seeking vulnerable, lo-fi aesthetics.
