Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded quickly between massive touring cycles, the Atlanta band embraces an exceptionally catchy, upbeat jangle-pop sound that belies Bradford Cox's anxious lyricism. The hazy, immediate production captures the group in a surprisingly concise and accessible state just prior to recording their sprawling magnum opus, 'Halcyon Digest'. The bright guitar tones and nostalgic melodies effectively established a much lighter, summery aesthetic for the quartet.
