A Taste of DNA

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arto Lindsay's seminal New York no-wave trio distills their terrifyingly abrasive, deconstructed rock into a chaotic, six-track masterclass of dissonance. The screeching, atonal guitar scrapes and erratic, tribal drumming completely abandon traditional pop structures, capturing the intense, intellectual nihilism of the downtown 1980s avant-garde scene. Despite clocking in at under ten minutes, its legendary influence on experimental music remains immeasurable.
