Album Notes & Community Reviews

Dntel is the solo alias of Jimmy Tamborello, and 'Something Always Goes Wrong' collects IDM tracks recorded on a Kurzweil K2000s sampler in the Warp-influenced bedroom electronic idiom of Aphex Twin and µ-Ziq. Across ten tracks, two of them remixes, brittle machine rhythms carry melancholy melodic loops, anticipating the glitch pop Tamborello would later pursue with The Postal Service.
