Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Elvis Sails' contains no songs: its first side excerpts the press conference Presley gave aboard the troop ship USS Randall before departing for army service in Germany, and its second side pairs a newsreel interview with an interview conducted by Pat Hernon. The EP reached number two on Billboard's Best Selling Pop EPs chart, and its back cover carried a 1959 calendar with a die-cut hanging hole.
