Friend of War

The 'Friend of War' EP marks an ambitious expansion of Eternal Champion's established epic heavy metal, distinguished by two exceptionally long compositions that incorporate significant ambient and dungeon synth textures. The two-track release, which includes the thirteen-minute title track and an eighteen-minute instrumental, draws thematic inspiration from the dark fantasy writings of Karl Edward Wagner. Serving as a precursor to a forthcoming full-length album, the EP is the band's first new material following the 2024 death of former bassist Brad Raub.
