Album Notes & Community Reviews
This Eurovision-winning composition by Serge Gainsbourg brought unprecedented lyrical complexity and rhythmic driving force to the international pop stage. Its self-referential themes and highly kinetic, brass-driven arrangement completely revitalized the formulaic standards of French commercial music.
