Album Notes & Community Reviews

A masterpiece of lyrical storytelling and theatrical delivery from the legendary Belgian chansonnier. The recording paints a scathing, vivid portrait of provincial bourgeois complacency, elevated by sweeping orchestral arrangements and Brel's passionately intense vocal performance.
