Album Notes & Community Reviews

Constructed as a reverse-chronological narrative detailing the life cycle of a romantic relationship, this acclaimed project deeply intertwines 1990s R&B vocal aesthetics with icy, futuristic club production. Utilizing high-profile electronic producers like Arca and DJ Dahi, the sleek, atmospheric instrumentals perfectly cushion Kelela's powerful, emotionally resonant singing. The release bridged the gap between underground electronic music and contemporary, mainstream-adjacent soul.
