Album Notes & Community Reviews

'The Circus' provides a deeply nocturnal, highly atmospheric collection of conscious hip-hop layered over subtle trap and jazz-rap instrumentation. The brief release acts as a lyrical exercise for the rapper to sharpen his complex, socially aware cadences ahead of subsequent studio albums. It was widely regarded as a tight, heavily focused stopgap that demonstrated his consistent technical brilliance.
