Album Notes & Community Reviews

Collecting the highly influential, independently released singles from the Ohio band's formative years, this record essentially documented the birth of American post-punk. David Thomas' warbling, paranoid vocals perfectly complement the jarring, synthesizer-streaked collision of garage rock and avant-garde noise. It perfectly captured the stark, rusted industrial decline of 1970s Cleveland.
