Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Fancy That' marks a decisive shift in PinkPantheress's career, with a more deliberate production style rooted in UK garage, jungle, and classic dance music. The project's vibrant electronic soundscapes, built on extensive sampling from artists like Basement Jaxx and Panic! at the Disco, underscore a lyrical evolution towards more forthright explorations of sex and desire. The work was met with widespread critical acclaim for its fusion of nostalgic sounds with emotionally raw themes, earning a nomination for the 2025 Mercury Prize.
