Album Notes & Community Reviews

Functioning as an agonizingly slow, atmospheric companion to the 'Rollercoaster' album, this release is highlighted by Mark Kozelek's surprisingly tender, acoustic reimagining of the KISS classic 'Shock Me'. The stark, beautifully depressing arrangements firmly established the band as undisputed masters of the emerging slowcore subgenre. It offers a deeply intimate window into his highly confessional songwriting style.
