Album Notes & Community Reviews

In a brilliant artistic reinvention, the younger Knowles sister partnered extensively with indie-R&B auteur Dev Hynes (Blood Orange). The resulting project brilliantly marries nostalgic 1980s synth-funk with sophisticated modern pop, fully liberating her from early-career commercial expectations and establishing her as a vital, independent creative force.
