Rising

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Collaborating with Australian banjoist Andrew Tuttle, 'Rising' is a half-hour long-form ambient piece that merges distinct hemispheric sensibilities. The continuous composition slowly builds from Pat Irwin's cold synthesizer tones into Tuttle's processed, cascading banjo lines. This expansive track showcases a seamless integration of Appalachian acoustic picking and cinematic, New York-style minimalism.
