Serving as the volatile, posthumous final release from the legendary Australian post-punk group, this project was recorded as internal tensions irreparably fractured the band. The tracks overflow with a menacing, blues-driven aggression, anchored by Rowland S. Howard's jagged guitar lines and Nick Cave's terrifying, pulpit-pounding vocal delivery. The abrasive masterpiece effectively laid the thematic and sonic groundwork for Cave's subsequent solo career with The Bad Seeds.
