Album Notes & Community Reviews

Signifying a shocking and immensely successful stylistic pivot, this upbeat release finds Robert Smith decisively abandoning the oppressive doom of 'Pornography' in favor of effervescent synthesizer arrangements and club-ready drum machines. The buoyant title track effectively reinvented the brooding post-punk ensemble into international alternative pop stars.
