Album Notes & Community Reviews

The seventeenth studio album from The Monochrome Set, 'Lotus Bridge' is a psychedelic and orchestral concept record built around a dream narrative from frontman Bid. Thematically, it serves as an allegory for a decaying civilization, with its songs representing a journey through a re-evaluated past after being offered an unknown future. The album marks a sonic shift, centered on acoustic guitar and electric piano with wide stereo guitars creating a focused, atmospheric sound, while retaining the band's characteristic literate wit and jangling, sophisticated pop hooks.
