Young Liars

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Bursting out of the early 2000s Brooklyn indie explosion, this debut established an incredibly unique fusion of post-punk aesthetics and doo-wop vocal sensibilities. Featuring an astonishing a cappella cover of the Pixies' 'Mr. Grieves', the release instantly marked them as visionary arrangers. The intricate loop-based production and soulful delivery laid a confident foundation for one of the era's most important rock acts.
