Album Notes & Community Reviews

Propelled by Terry Chambers' distinctive, inverted drum pattern, this track offered a biting, sarcastic critique of overbearing British parental expectations and corporate futures. Colin Moulding's composition provided the band with their international breakthrough, brilliantly balancing angular post-punk aesthetics with sharp pop sensibilities. The song notably addresses the soul-crushing reality of securing a 'safe' job at British Steel.
