Adventure Rock
Adventure rock is the self-coined label of the Swedish band *H盲llas* for their fusion of 1970s progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal, organised around an original fantasy narrative of a knight in a parallel medieval universe. Twin guitars, Hammond organ and synthesizers carry long, episodic compositions whose lyrics continue a single questing storyline from album to album, performed in vintage gear and period costume. The term has since been taken up by a handful of like-minded acts, notably Phoenix's *Bear Ghost*, for theatrical, story-driven rock built on classic prog and metal models.
