Beat bolha

Beat bolha, the 'bubble beat', is a rhythm style within Brazilian baile funk that emerged in Rio de Janeiro's favela parties around 2020 and was carried across Brazil and abroad by *DJ Ramon Sucesso*. Its signature is a saturated, popping synth tone that mimics bursting bubbles, layered over the hard, dry kick patterns of funk at 150 to 170 BPM. Tracks are usually built as DJ tools and montagens: short vocal fragments, sirens and samples are cut, looped and distorted until the beat itself carries the track, with bass weight prioritised over melody or conventional song form.
