Brazilian Electronic Music

Brazilian electronic music is the electronic production culture of Brazil, centred on S茫o Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, where producers fused drum and bass, techno, house and downtempo with samba, bossa nova, bai茫o and Afro-Brazilian percussion. Its best-known exports are the liquid drum and bass of *DJ Marky* and *XRS*, the sample collages of *Amon Tobin* and the bossa-electronic hybrids of *Suba* and *Bebel Gilberto*. A parallel S茫o Paulo techno underground and the later rise of Brazilian techno DJs connect the field to domestic club culture, giving it both an export face and a home dancefloor.
