Cybergrind

Cybergrind is a subgenre of grindcore in which the music's extreme speed and brevity are produced or augmented by electronic means: programmed drum machines, sequenced blast beats, synthesized noise and digital distortion. Songs remain short and violent, but tempos can exceed what a human drummer sustains, and gabber kick drums, breakbeats and video-game-like synth figures collide with downtuned guitars and shrieked vocals. Developing in the late 1990s and 2000s through internet file-sharing and home production, cybergrind treats the computer as a band member, merging grindcore's attack with the machinery of hardcore techno and digital hardcore.
