Deep Techno

Deep techno is the spacious, hypnotic end of techno that developed from the late 2000s around the Italian scene of *Donato Dozzy*, *Giorgio Gigli* and the #Prologue# label, and the dub-wise productions of *DeepChord* and *Rod Modell*. Built on submerged kick drums, long echoing chord stabs and slowly evolving loops at restrained tempos, it trades peak-time force for immersion, often absorbing ambient and dub influences. *Voices from the Lake*, *Luigi Tozzi*, *Claudio PRC* and *Dino Sabatini* carried the sound through the 2010s on labels such as #Prologue#, #Outis# and #Hypnus#, where the album became a valued format.
