Future Bounce

Future bounce is a subgenre of future house that crystallised in the Netherlands in the mid-2010s, when producers including *Mike Williams*, *Brooks*, *Mesto* and *Justin Mylo* sharpened future house's melodic gloss with the rubbery, syncopated bass movement of Melbourne bounce. Tracks pair emotional, pop-leaning breakdowns — piano, supersaw chords, vocal hooks — with minimalist drops in which a plucked lead and a jumping bassline trade short phrases at around 126-130 bpm. Fostered by #Spinnin' Records# and its neighbours, it became a defining festival sound of the late 2010s while remaining an almost entirely singles-based music.
