Gorenoise

Gorenoise is an extreme underground style that fuses goregrind with noise music, developed in the late 1990s and 2000s largely in the Netherlands and the American underground. Where goregrind keeps grindcore's song structures, gorenoise dissolves them: programmed or hyper-fast blast beats, massively distorted low-tuned guitars and bass, and vocals pitch-shifted and processed into unintelligible gurgling are buried under feedback and harsh noise, often in tracks under a minute long. Released mostly on small gore labels and CD-Rs with deliberately grotesque medical artwork, it is represented by acts such as *Last Days of Humanity*, *Sulfuric Cautery* and *Phyllomedusa*.
