Hardvapour

Hardvapour is an aggressive offshoot of vaporwave that appeared in 2015 as a deliberate reaction against the genre's nostalgic, sample-based aesthetic. Producers associated with the Ukrainian label #Antifur# and the collective #H.V.R.F.# replaced plunderphonic drift with gabber and speedcore kick drums, noise, and industrial textures, often under absurdist or militaristic artwork. Releases such as *wosX*'s "End of World Rave" and *Sandtimer*'s "Vaporwave Is Dead" announced the break, and the style, part parody and part genuine hardcore, circulated through Bandcamp and netlabels before folding back into the wider hard electronic underground.
