Centered on Tokyo producer *Snail's House* (Keitaro Ujiie, formerly Ujico*), it uses sparkling chiptune-adjacent synths, music-box tones, cute sampled voices and bright major-key melodies at tempos around 130-160 BPM. Related acts including *Yunomi*, *Moe Shop* and *YUC'e* circulate through doujin events, netlabels and streaming, making kawaii future bass as much an illustration-and-character visual culture as a sound.
