Melodic Bass

Melodic bass is a 2010s strain of American electronic dance music that pairs dubstep's heavy low end with euphoric, song-driven melody and pop vocals. Built around producers such as *Illenium*, *Seven Lions* and *Said The Sky*, it replaces brostep aggression with soaring supersaw chords, arpeggiated synths and emotional drops, often featuring guest singers and full song structures. Emerging from the United States festival circuit in the mid-2010s, it carried bass music into arenas and the pop mainstream, with albums like "Awake" and "Ashes" turning its leading producers into headline acts and festival brands.
