Neoclassical

Neoclassical dark wave fuses dark wave and post-punk with classical and early music, replacing the rock band with strings, piano, harp and choral voices. Pioneered by *Dead Can Dance* and developed by *Arcana* and *Autumn Tears*, it favors modal melody, funereal tempos and ritual atmosphere, as heard on "Within the Realm of a Dying Sun".
