Polish hip hop

Polish hip hop is the rap scene that developed in Poland from the mid-1990s, rapped almost entirely in Polish and shaped by the country's post-communist transformation. Pioneers *Kaliber 44* and *Paktofonika* brought psychedelic wordplay and stark Silesian realism to records such as "Ksi臋ga Tajemnicza. Prolog" and "Kinematografia", while *Peja*, *O.S.T.R.* and *Fisz* established regional styles from Pozna艅, 艁贸d藕 and Warsaw. Built on boom bap, jazz samples and later trap production, Polish hip hop became the country's dominant popular music, prized for dense, literary rhymes and unsparing social reportage.
