Raggacore

Raggacore is a form of hardcore electronic music that fuses ragga jungle with breakcore: dancehall and ragga vocals, samples and basslines are driven at 180 to 210 BPM over chaotically edited breakbeats, gabber kicks and abrupt changes of tempo and style. It grew out of the British and European free-party and breakcore scenes of the late 1990s, slightly predating breakcore's own codification, with roots in the ragga jungle of *Remarc*. Its principal figures are the Dutch producer *Bong-Ra*, Brighton's *Shitmat*, Venezuela's *Cardopusher* and the American *Enduser*, released by labels such as #Planet Mu#, #Ad Noiseam# and #Peace Off#.
