Regalia

Regalia is an underground rap style of the early 2020s in which trap production is built from samples of classical music and Japanese role-playing game scores, strings, piano, harp, bells and choirs, giving beats a regal, fantastical character. Developed by Fort Worth rapper-producer *Jace!*, formerly iayze, and the producer *Royalansem*, and codified on *Jace!*'s albums and the work of *Devstacks* and *SoFaygo*, regalia contrasts its ornate, melodic instrumentals with Auto-Tuned melodic rapping about money, fashion and internet-era romance. It is a branch of the SoundCloud underground adjacent to pluggnb and digicore.
