Scenecore

Scenecore is a 2020s internet genre that revives the aesthetics of 2000s MySpace scene culture through the production language of hyperpop and glitchcore. Artists such as *6arelyhuman* and *Odetari* build short, maximal tracks from pitch-shifted vocals, trance and happy hardcore synths, distorted 808s and abrupt edits, released through TikTok and SoundCloud rather than clubs or labels. The name distinguishes the revival from the original scene era: where 2000s scene music meant metalcore and crunkcore bands, scenecore is solo, producer-led electronic pop that treats the earlier subculture as both source material and visual identity.
