Speed House

Speed house is a high-tempo strain of house music coined and codified by the Canadian producer *Haus of Panda* in the late 2010s, fusing speed garage, hard house and bass house at roughly 140 to 150 BPM. Its tracks run on four-on-the-floor kicks filled out with garage bass warps, rave stabs, hoovers, breakbeat fills and distorted low end, arranged in short, relentless build-and-drop cycles for peak-time festival play. The style became a recognised *Beatport* genre category and acquired its own label, #Speed House Movement#, founded in 2020, whose compilations made the sound an international club movement.
