TBM

TBM, or techno body music, is the harder, techno-driven offshoot of EBM named and defined by *Combichrist* in 2005. It keeps EBM's sequenced basslines and shouted, confrontational vocals but replaces its song structures with the relentless four-on-the-floor kick drums, distorted synth riffs and build-and-drop dynamics of hard techno and trance, at the tempos of *Suicide Commando*, *Hocico* and *Grendel*. The term was launched with the track "This Is TBM" on the #Out of Line# compilation "Techno Body Music Vol. 1" and centred on *Combichrist*'s albums "Everybody Hates You" (2005) and "What the Fuck Is Wrong with You People?" (2007).
