Technoid

Technoid is the techno-facing wing of rhythmic noise and power noise, in which the distorted, abrasive percussion of industrial music is organised into the steady four-four pulse and track architecture of techno. Where classic power noise often abandons regular metre for barrage, technoid keeps the club framework intact and fills it with corroded kick drums, metallic percussion loops and noise washes, so the result functions simultaneously as dance music and as industrial listening. The style centred on the German labels #Ant-Zen# and #Hymen Records# and on acts including *Imminent*, *Synapscape*, *Converter* and *Winterkälte*.
