Temple Ambient

Temple Ambient is a devotional strain of ambient music that evokes the acoustics and atmosphere of sacred architecture. Long reverberation tails, bell and singing-bowl partials, low drones and choral or vowel-like pads imitate sound moving through stone sanctuaries, while harmonic movement slows to near stillness. Drawing on the meditative ambient of *Iasos*, *Constance Demby* and *Robert Rich*, the style is produced for meditation, ritual and contemplative listening rather than narrative or rhythm. Its spaces are imaginary as often as real: synthesized cathedrals built from reverb, resonance and sustained tone.
