Terror Plugg

Terror plugg is a microgenre of plugg rap that pushes the parent style's airy, melodic beats toward distortion and menace. Producers including *boolymon*, *tdf*, *Squillo* and *marrgielaa* build tracks from crushed, bitcrushed 808s, detuned bells and eerie, horror-inflected melodies, over which rappers such as *Smokingskul* and *Lazer Dim 700* deliver dense, aggressive verses. Emerging from SoundCloud and TikTok in the mid-2020s, the style — also called extremo-plugg or alarm plugg — is deliberately abrasive where plugg is weightless, and circulates mainly through singles, short tapes and viral clips.
