Take On Me / Love Is Reason

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Initially unsuccessful upon its first release, 'Take On Me' became a global phenomenon after being remixed by Alan Tarney and paired with a groundbreaking, rotoscoped music video. Driven by a fast-paced drum machine and a famously joyous keyboard riff, the track is elevated by Morten Harket's breathtaking two-and-a-half-octave vocal range in the chorus. It remains one of the most recognizable and enduring synthpop anthems of the 1980s.
