In Undertow

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the lead single for their sophomore album, this track perfectly encapsulates the band's signature blend of fuzzy, lo-fi textures and pristine pop melodies. Driven by a propulsive drum beat and layers of shimmering, chorused guitars, Molly Rankin's vocals deliver a pragmatic, unsentimental approach to a breakup. It solidified the group's status as leading figures in the modern jangle-pop and shoegaze revival.
