Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originating as a Soca track by Anslem Douglas, this cover version injected high-energy Miami bass rhythms to create a culturally ubiquitous, highly polarizing novelty anthem. Despite a frequently negative critical reception, its infectious chorus became an inescapable stadium chant and pop culture phenomenon at the turn of the millennium. The track notably won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
