Album Notes & Community Reviews

Asserting fierce independence through a completely defiant vocal performance, this early classic blues single helped heavily define the empowered persona of its legendary singer. The sparse, melodically rich piano accompaniment perfectly frames her booming, commanding vaudeville delivery.
