Album Notes & Community Reviews

Debuting a song specifically written to match her deeply melancholic public persona, the vocalist delivers a masterclass in nuanced, tragic interpretation. Her uniquely weary, behind-the-beat phrasing perfectly communicates the exhaustion of chronic heartbreak. The recording stands as one of the absolute creative peaks of her later, heavily orchestrated studio work.
