Album Notes & Community Reviews
Crafted as part of an ongoing narrative exploring a mythical, forest-dwelling woman adjusting to urban existence, 'Isobel' pairs sweeping, cinematic orchestration with heavy trip-hop beats. The lyrics, co-written with poet Sjón, invoke magical realism and deep connections to nature. The production's dramatic synthesis of exotic rhythms and lush classical arrangements highlighted the boundless creative ambition of the 'Post' era.
