Album Notes & Community Reviews

Dedicated to her best friend Jóhanna, this track serves as the sweeping, emotional nucleus of 'Homogenic'. The arrangement utilizes lush, swelling strings provided by the Icelandic String Octet juxtaposed against massive, violently distorted electronic beats designed to mimic the volatile tectonic activity of Iceland's landscape. Björk described the track as 'electronic volcanic music', bridging her reverence for nature with cutting-edge IDM production.
