Album Notes & Community Reviews

Showcasing the eclectic, global scope of Bj枚rk's solo 'Debut', this track blends an electronic trip-hop rhythm with lush, sweeping string arrangements recorded specifically in Mumbai. The romantic, sensual lyrics were inspired by her relationship with Dominic Thrupp, comparing his tenderness to the Roman goddess of love. The song's idiosyncratic combination of Bollywood cinematic aesthetics and London club culture firmly established her avant-pop vision.
